About Our Client

The client is a multinational retail and distribution company based in Pasig.

Job Description

  • Ensures all expenses are properly supported by Purchase Order.
  • Checks the accuracy of and records Supplier's Invoices and other charges/disbursements into the Accounting system.
  • Updates master data in ERP (SKU's, Price List & Transfer Price)
  • Prepares monthly reconciliation of Payables.
  • Prepares remittance advices for local trade payables.
  • Prepares documents for outward payments to Intercompany and foreign suppliers.
  • Reviews computation of duties and taxes.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries for accruals.
  • Prepares monthly operating results (P&L) and financial conditions (BS).
  • Prepares monthly withholding tax and VAT returns and submit to Bureau of Internal Revenue thru EFPS.
  • Prepares quarterly corporate income tax, municipal license tax, and fringe benefit tax returns.
  • Prepares annual reports to various government agencies such as Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue and local government unit.
  • Ensures that company policies and procedures are strictly followed on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensures that all transactions are recorded in the company books in accordance with local GAAP, PAS and PFRS/IFRS
  • Ensures that all local regulatory laws pertaining to corporations are strictly followed and reportorial requirements of various government agencies such as Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue and Bureau of Customs are complied with.
  • Provides assistance to external auditors in their conduct of annual audit.
  • Provides other reports, which will be required by the Accounting Controller, Finance Head or General Manager.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Responsible in complying with the Company's Environment, Health and Safety policies and programs.

The Successful Applicant

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • CPA required
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, and auditing.
  • Must have hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and Tax.
  • Has worked with multinational Retail, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical distribution companies.
  • Amenable to working fully onsite in Pasig.
