The client is a leading brand in the FMCG food space. They are looking for driven Area Sales Managers in different regions, specifically in Naga City/Legazpi City, to join their team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and leading a team to exceed targets.

Job Description

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for:

  • Sales Strategy Implementation:
    • Execute sales plans to meet revenue and market share targets within the area.
    • Align local sales activities with national strategy and monitor market trends.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the area sales team to achieve targets.
    • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Distributor & Retailer Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key distributors and retailers.
    • Negotiate pricing, promotional terms, and ensure product visibility.
  • Sales Performance:
    • Track sales performance and ensure monthly/quarterly targets are met.
    • Implement corrective actions where sales goals are not achieved.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop relationships with key clients and resolve customer issues quickly.
    • Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Insights & Reporting:
    • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities.
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Promotions & Marketing Support:
    • Collaborate with marketing on regional promotions and product launches.
    • Ensure successful implementation of campaigns and track effectiveness.
  • Inventory & Distribution:
    • Ensure timely product delivery and optimal inventory levels with logistics teams.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with distributors for timely replenishment.

The Successful Applicant

The Area Sales Manager has:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in sales, meeting targets, and managing customer relationships in an FMCG environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
