Job Description

Commercial Development

  • Generation of new business opportunities
  • Assist in the development and the implementation of a commercial strategy for diversifying the project portfolio in the Philippines, capturing emerging opportunities, new clients,
  • Assist in the development of a plan to ensure that the Infrastructure grows substantially in the short term (next 2 years)
  • Actively seek out new opportunities for developing the business, including acquisitions and joint ventures, to underpin growth targets and market
  • Assist in the analysis of economic, regulatory and demographic factors which impact upon the business.
  • Provide high level oversight of projects undertaken by the execution team and ensure proactive review and input to project critical issues impeding
  • Responsible for achievement of the Company's goals in terms of unit and financial



Tender Overview

  • Supervision of the drafting of the bidding project, ensuring the suitability of the technical solutions proposed and their economic impact.
  • Negotiation of design contracts from an economic and legal perspective. Commercial management with Client, subcontracts, designers and other agents involved.
  • Coordination of reviews and meetings, both with the offer team and with the client, engineering and partners, to update progress reports, identify, and resolve needs that arise adequately.
  • Interaction with the Client and the Partner when appropriate.



Resources management

  • Assist in defining and implementing a resourcing plan for the Business Development area which supports all the activities deemed as necessary to ensure growth in the Philippines
  • Align internal and external resources to deliver project implementation plans and commercial outcomes.



Internal and external relationships

  • Assist in securing meetings with senior public servants, Ministers and their advisers, business people and other high level stakeholders to influence decisions and secure opportunities for growing the business.

Internal regime management

  • Develop new procedures as necessary and present them for approval by the relevant personnel in Southeast Asia

  • Assist to instill the company vision within the organization so that it is widely
  • Play a key role in influencing business culture with a particular focus on merit based opportunity, responsibility and
  • Participate actively in the development and delivery of the Company's strategy for



Key Performance Targets

  • Submit a tender or submit a proposal on an unsolicited basis, for the next two (2) immediate financial years
  • Successfully cultivating new relationships and strengthening current relationships with key clients, partners, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Successfully marketing the company profile as a contractor of choice to the key private and public clients in the Philippines
  • Successful delivery of commercial strategies for business development in the Philippines
  • Ensuring effective reporting and communications with the Southeast Asia Office in Singapore
  • Ensuring business development expenditure is kept within budget and target maximum mileage
  • Ensuring that the Company maintains the requisite licenses, permits etc. at any one time to conduct its business in the Philippines



The Successful Applicant

  • Undergraduate and/or Masters Qualification in business, planning, engineering, science or similar, preferably with international Education background in Anglo-Saxon countries (Singapore, Australia or USA)
  • MBA will be highly valued.
  • Extensive business development experience (≥ 15 years) in the infrastructure construction industry.
  • Strong personal network with public/ private clients and developers, local contractors, subcontractors
  • Previous experience working with public agencies such as Department of Transportation, Department of Public Works and Highways
  • Bid management experience will be a
