They are now seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Director to spearhead the new project acquisition efforts and lead them into new opportunities.

Job Description

  • Project Acquisition: Identify and secure new projects within the infrastructure and construction sectors, focusing on building a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously scan the market to identify emerging opportunities, both within the Philippines and in regional markets. Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including private companies and government agencies. Leverage these relationships to influence decision-making and close deals.
  • Entrepreneurial Approach: Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset by proactively creating project opportunities. Develop innovative strategies to drive business growth and expand market presence.
  • Liaison with Construction Teams: Work closely with construction teams to ensure seamless project execution. Utilize your civil engineering background to effectively communicate technical requirements and project specifications.
  • Regional Expansion: Explore and develop opportunities outside of the Philippines, leveraging your regional knowledge to drive international growth.

The Successful Applicant

15 plus years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is crucial but an MBA is not mandatory.

  • Experience: Proven track record in business development within the infrastructure and construction sectors. Demonstrated ability to close projects and drive new business.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong connections with private companies and government agencies. In-depth understanding of the local and regional market landscape.
  • Skills:
    a. Aggressiveness & Entrepreneurship: Highly proactive with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to aggressively pursue new opportunities and drive business growth.
    b. Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Skilled in influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders.
    c. Market Scanning: Adept at identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and competitive dynamics.
    d. Technical Liaison: Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with construction teams, leveraging your civil engineering background.
