The client is an AI-enabled Edtech platform based in Hong Kong and they aim to fill the gap in school education through coaching, career development, and edtech solutions for students and budding professionals 13 and above. They believe in equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to plan their careers, choose the right subjects, connect with internship opportunities, and develop future-ready life skills.

Job Description

As a business development manager, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, promoting their coaching and career development programs, and achieving sales targets. You will collaborate with the team to develop marketing strategies and contribute to the growth of the company.

  • Achieve sales targets for all commercially contracted revenue generating activity (courses, workshops, and internship programs).
  • Build channel partnership where partners will sell the company's services with commissions.
  • Building a strong pipeline for both direct and channel customers to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline process with profitability of win calculations, revenue projections, and direct input to the company budget and forecasting process.
  • Present and represent the company's mission, values, and services in all sales outreach.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-4 years of sales experience in the secondary school/international school education or similar market, additional years of experience preferred with minimum experience of five years.
  • A high degree of personal and professional integrity.
  • High self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and commitment to personal and professional growth as well as excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A resourceful style with the ability to be flexible, collaborate effectively, take initiative, execute independently with minimal supervision, and manage tasks and projects and enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and dependable with exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing a best-in-class Business Development function with the necessary culture, behaviors, and action plans to develop business within the education grade 6-12 marketplace.
