Job Description

Strategic IT Leadership:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Advise on technology trends and drive digital transformation for operational efficiency and improved customer experience.



Leading IT Transformation:

  • Execute a roadmap for modernizing the company's technology.
  • Lead migration of legacy systems to modern platforms with minimal disruption.
  • Promote agile methodologies and DevOps to improve IT delivery.
  • Foster innovation and collaboration with business units to leverage automation, AI, and advanced analytics.



Core IT Functions Leadership:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, application development, and cybersecurity.
  • Ensure data governance, IT operations efficiency, and vendor management.



Cybersecurity and Data Protection:

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and data protection.



Technology Innovation and Development:

  • Lead the development and integration of new technologies.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.



Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing IT team.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication.



Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet technology needs.



Project Management:

  • Oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.



Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery:

  • Maintain and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure IT system reliability during disruptions.

The Successful Applicant

Experience/Skill:
* Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and Engineering
* Minimum 15 years' experience in back-end development, which must include programming languages like C-Sharp, NodeJS
* Minimum 5 years' experience in leading a technology team
* Experience in working with CICD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
* Experience in design architecture.
* Experience in working with RESTful APIs
* Experience in working with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, Azure MS SQL PaaS.
* Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level.
* Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
* Digital technology technical forward thinking and ability to design for change.
* Mobile App, Cloud solution, and modern web app design and development.
* Familiarity with any cloud services is desired, preferably Azure Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
* Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change
* Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and best practices, with an understanding of its strategic importance to organizations
* Superior conceptual and analytical abilities, identifying opportunities for improvement through analysis and creative thinking
* Continuous learner able to adapt new technologies and techniques to existing business needs
* Capable of performing within a linear sequential design approach and an iterative approach to software development life cycle methodologies

Knowledge/Skill:
* Professional technical and business documentation.
* In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Waterfall and Agile (DevOps or Scrum).
* Being good at listening skills, teamwork and demonstrates intellectual curiosity.
* Ability to work with a globally distributed cross functional team.
* Good knowledge in software documentation, standard, and best practices.
* Ability to deliver technical jargons in layman terms to business and vice-versa to technical team.
* Understanding of life insurance business is preferable
* Framework: NETCore, NETFramework, Popular .NET ORM Framework like Dapper, EntityFramework
* Cloud Infrastructure & Eco System: Expertise in Microsoft Azure Eco System Azure DevOps, Azure SQL PaaS, Azure Data Factory
* Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Couchbase, MongoDB
* Operating Systems: Windows / Linux
* Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SQL Server Management Studio
* Service Bus Explorer, Azure Storage Explorer, Postman
* Agile Project Management Documentation Tool: Jira, Jira Software, Confluence
* Source Code Version Control Bit Bucket, Azure DevOps
* Deployment : Jenkins, Azure Kubernetes Service
