Job Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain for direct materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain quality and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify material requirements and sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all supplier dealings.
  • Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for supplier-related challenges.
  • Report on supplier performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Supplier Relationship Manager should have:

  • A relevant degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of supplier risk management and market analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management tools and software.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to building and maintaining supplier relationships.
