About Our Client

The client is a FMCG company dedicated to delivering high-quality snacks to customers globally. They are planning to expand further in the Philippines and are looking for a high potential Customer Development Manager to focus on their modern trade channel.

Job Description

Main responsibilities of the Customer Development Manager include:

  1. Key Account Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their business needs and requirements.
    • Act as the main point of contact for key customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to develop tailored solutions and strategies to meet customer needs.

  2. Sales Growth and Revenue Generation:
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing key accounts and drive sales growth
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

  3. Contract Negotiation and Management:
    • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with key accounts, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term partnerships.
    • Manage contract renewals, extensions, and amendments in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.

  4. Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets for key accounts, monitoring performance against targets and KPIs.
    • Generate regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis to senior management.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies and improve overall performance.

The Successful Applicant

The Customer Development Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or similar role in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, account management, and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
