Job Description


  • Develop, implement, and maintain best practice management processes, guidance and standards related to solar PV engineering that embed lessons learned and knowledge gained for the benefit of the whole company.
  • Carry out engineering and technical due diligence on potential acquisition projects, both in development and in operation, working proactively with country teams to develop solutions for mitigating risks and adding value.
  • Provide support to country and corporate teams on technical matters across all phases of the project lifecycle assets, acting as a central point of co-ordination for solar engineering and equipment related issues providing lessons learned to the business.
  • Establish and maintain processes to develop early-stage engineering designs for utility scale PV assets, and related standard practices.
  • Provide support to country and corporate teams on technical matters associated with design and design review of pre-construction assets and implementation of design for construction assets.
  • Act as technical lead for key equipment supply.
  • Review project designs, suitability for site specifics and make recommendations for optimisation for safe and reliable expected operational life, for pre-construction assets and during implementation of design for construction assets.
  • Lead projects to resolve defects, equipment failures and incidents on site to minimise downtime.
  • Support or lead on maintenance agreement scope and requirements and negotiation with contractors as required.
  • Provide technical support to project team interacting with service contractors as appropriate. Lead the development of O&M technical appendices
  • Identify innovative and/or value adding solutions to operations, remote condition assessments and preventative maintenance processes.

The Successful Applicant


  • At leat 8 years of experience in a similar field
  • Graduate of Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering courses
  • Prior experience with IPP
  • Detailed knowledge on Solar Plant/ Wind Plant BOP Design
  • Understanding of Major Components used in Solar PV/ Wind Projects (Solar Module/ Inverter/ Transformer)
  • Detailed understanding on government department Approval Process (NGCP, DPWH, etc.) and document requirements
  • Understanding and handling Owners Engineer and coordinating with project team and other stakeholders
  • Understanding on project schedule
  • Understanding on International & Local design code & standards
  • Knowledge on PPT, EXCEL, AutoCAD
  • Overall Experience 8 to 12 years, Preferably Electrical Engineer, and have prior experience with IPP.
