Job Description

  • Oversees the comprehensive tracking of ESG impact metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to value creation across the company's different business sectors.
  • Collaborates with leadership and business teams to design a system or platform for capturing, tracking, and assessing ESG and sustainability data.
  • Develops key communications and data visualizations (such as dashboards) to present ESG and business metrics, supporting both ESG reporting and internal/external communications aligned with the company's purpose.
  • Identifies and recommends areas for improvement in company policies and processes to support the organization's sustainability goals. Collects and analyzes sustainability data, conducting research to identify environmental concerns, trends, and issues.
  • Manages and aligns the company's external sustainability and environmental reporting, with the ability to interpret carbon and environmental data and provide insights on progress toward established business targets.
  • Promotes best practices across business sectors and corporate functions for recording carbon emissions, assessing performance, and setting improvement goals within the company's customised software platform.
  • Ensures alignment with industry standards and practices as defined by external organizations and top-tier peers. Leads the company's responses to ESG rating agencies such as MSCI, S&P, Sustainalytics, and CDP, and engages with standard-setting bodies like GRI, TCFD, SASB, and IIRC.


 

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in environmental science, data science, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or certification in sustainability is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in sustainability and environmental reporting, preferably within the power, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of environmental science, carbon emissions, and reporting requirements, along with familiarity with major external reporting organizations (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis) and current reporting trends.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding and strong interest in the ESG reporting landscape.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in project management with strong analytical abilities; capable of handling complex data sets and managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
