The Finance Director will oversee and manage local accounting, IT, treasury, audit, tax, and legal compliance functions to ensure transparent KPI tracking, planning, and reporting. This role is integral to developing functional vision, mission, and strategies aligned with the Company's strategic directions. As a member of the Country Leadership Team, the Finance Director will report directly to the Country Manager Philippines and functionally to the Cluster Finance & IT Director.

Our client is a leading multinational FMCG company with a strong presence across 37 countries, focusing significantly on the ASEAN region, including the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Dedicated to driving profitable growth and establishing robust business fundamentals, they are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead their financial operations in the Philippines. Office is located in Taguig.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shared Service Center Management:
    • Negotiate setup and operations of the shared service center to ensure accurate financial and cost accounting activities, adhering to company and legal standards.
  • Financial Decision-Making:
    • Ensure major company decisions are made with full consideration of financial implications.
  • System and Process Management:
    • Implement and manage systems for reliable and timely financial reporting and flow.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Handle all tax-related topics (VAT, CIT, Excise, Import Duties) and work with internal teams and consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax calculations and filings.
    • Review SOPs to ensure tax compliance.
  • Risk and Compliance:
    • Lead the global risk management process locally, aligning with global and regional requirements.
    • Manage RCM documentation and reporting.
  • Cash Flow and FX Management:
    • Maintain sufficient cash flow to meet liabilities and manage hedging FX requirements.
    • Ensure timely reporting for FX and TIS.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Ensure efficient processes for receipt, invoicing, collection, and credit control to minimize bad debt write-offs.
    • Manage supplier payments and reduce risks from manual payments.
  • People Management:
    • Lead and manage a finance team of 7, including 2 direct reports, 3 controllers, and 3 accountants.
    • Oversee the 3rd party SSC to ensure timely deliverables and payments.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial representation and reporting as per global and local timelines.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Guide the country Finance Team in day-to-day activities, providing adequate support and training.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in accounting, tax, and controlling preferred.
  • International experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing financial operations.
  • Strong strategic planning and operational excellence skills.
  • FMCG background.
