The Finance Manager will serve as the finance lead for the Manila branch while managing a team supporting the client's UK finance function. The role combines branch financial oversight, regulatory compliance, administration, mentoring, and cross‑border coordination. It is a senior leadership position within the Manila site, responsible for both operational finance and strategic support.

They offer a diverse lending portfolio and operate multiple offices globally. The Manila branch, established recently, supports a broad range of functions including finance, operations, IT, and treasury. With continued headcount growth, the organization is strengthening its senior leadership team in the Philippines.

Job Description

  • Lead branch-level finance operations including cash flow, treasury, tax submissions, and financial controls.
  • Oversee regulatory and compliance requirements across multiple governing bodies.
  • Manage branch administration, procurement, and cost oversight to support ongoing scale-up.
  • Supervise and develop a team delivering offshore finance services to UK stakeholders.
  • Bridge operational alignment between UK and Manila finance teams through regular coordination.
  • Monitor branch P&L, financial documentation, and internal reporting accuracy.
  • Identify process gaps and implement action plans to strengthen compliance and governance.
  • Serve as part of the Manila branch's senior leadership group, supporting the site director.
  • Ensure readiness for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal compliance checks.

The Successful Applicant

  • CPA or CMA qualification strongly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Background in offshoring or shared-services environments within financial services is ideal.
  • Strong knowledge of branch finance operations, tax, treasury, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with economic zone regulations (e.g., PEZA or similar) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, upskill, and manage cross-border teams.
  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and capable of functioning as an all-around business leader.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, growing environments with increasing operational complexity.
