The Financial Controlling Lead will manage financial reporting and control as well as statutory and tax compliance needs of the North America region. This is also a people management role.

About Our Client

The client is a leading Australian manufacturing company with a growing Global Business Services in the Philippines.

Job Description

  • Serve as the Regional Liaison between the onshore management team and the GBS.
  • Prepare business unit financial statements (B/S, P&L, Cash Flow), consolidate financial statements, and ensure timely month-end processes in line with company's accounting policies.
  • Manage the General Ledger, conduct asset impairment testing, and participate in internal and external audits, embedding internal controls in processes.
  • Maintain robust Intercompany Accounting processes, manage bi-annual assurance processes, and assist in the annual budgeting and group forecasting.
  • Ensure accurate completion of region/group filings and shareholder reports and prepare legal entity statutory accounts.
  • Manage information for the company's Tax Group and ensure compliance with tax, treasury, statutory, and financial policies.
  • Follow company financial and accounting procedures and coordinate external audit requirements.
  • Lead a team and manage global stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA, CMA, or CA certification.
  • Experience in a global shared services company.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role at a shared services company.
  • Experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
  • Has managed the North America region previously is preferred.
  • Amenable to work on a North America shift.
