Job Description

  • The Global Media Director will develop and execute strategic media plans to assigned accounts that will advance the company's competitive advantage adaptive to changing market conditions to bring the best impact, value and ROI to the business.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for a specific channel globally ie. digital, crafting the models, testing, and monitoring systems to maximise and scale up the key platforms in the channel.
  • Lead a large (and growing), high performing media & communications team
  • Institutionalises and adapts Media Planning frameworks, methodologies and guidelines in assigned markets/BUs/countries based on unique or country specific needs and requirements.
  • Collaborates and presents insights to key stakeholders to better understand rationale behind media investments.
  • Leads in the integration and negotiation strategy of accounts with media partners or vendors.
  • Establishes relationships with various local media agencies, defines and drives service levels, including performance evaluations.
  • Optimises plans and budgets and negotiates rates, ad space and airtime according to best media mix.
  • Systematically and proactively benchmarks global best practices, studies emerging trends, anticipates changing marketing conditions and technology for continuous improvement
  • Takes charge and responsibility for day-to-day management of media plans and buying activities in covered markets/business units/countries.
  • Develops and communicates insights post campaigns and works with key business stakeholders on to come up with business decision and creation of improvement plans

The Successful Applicant

  • Proving track record progressing in media agencies and/or consumer goods/ retail/ FMCG/ F&B companies, ideally both
  • Background working in global / regional roles, ideally with coverage of China, US and Europe, in addition to Southeast Asia markets
  • Performance marketing knowledge and experience is highly preferable
  • End-to-end strategy planning experience; a thought partner & operator
  • A strong leader with a background developing high performing teams
