About Our Client
Our client is a leading food retailer looking for exceptional talents to join their team as they are expanding and setting up more stores across the country.
Facilitates and promotes timely communication and cooperation between stores, buying functions, and resources to accomplish sales, margin, and service objectives
Develop assortment plans that support overall strategy for key merchandise categories and classifications, items, and vendors. Particularly under one or a group of categories within the Fresh Division which includes 6 categories
Implements company and store standards of buying as well as effective marketing strategy throughout the store with a complete and cohesive promotion/sales program plan.
Ensures that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing support the financial objectives of the buying group
Executes buying efforts resulting in clean store presentation and increased sales
The Successful Applicant
The Head Buyer must have relevant experience in handling multiple categories under the Fresh Department is a must
Established connections and relationships with suppliers
Great attention to detail
Great communication skills
