Looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Claims to lead and scale the claims function. This role will be responsible for managing the existing claims team, developing robust claims strategies, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring service excellence in line with regulatory and company standards.

Job Description



  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end claims management process across all general insurance product lines (motor, property, accident, etc.).


  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the current claims team, with a focus on upskilling, performance management, and growing the department.


  • Develop and implement efficient claims processes, systems, and SOPs to drive operational excellence and turnaround times.


  • Handle escalated or complex claims cases with a focus on customer resolution and business impact.


  • Collaborate with underwriting, sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.


  • Monitor and analyze claims trends, costs, and performance data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.


  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in all claims handling.


  • Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, including clear communications and timely resolutions.



The Successful Applicant



  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in claims management within the general insurance industry.


  • Proven leadership experience managing and growing claims teams.


  • Strong knowledge of local insurance regulations, policy structures, and customer service best practices.


  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.


  • Ability to drive operational improvements and implement scalable processes.


  • Customer-first mindset with a balanced approach to risk and business outcomes.
