Job Description

  • Develop and implement credit card strategies to achieve business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee credit card product development, enhancements, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage credit risk assessment, policies, and underwriting standards to minimize defaults.
  • Lead credit card portfolio management, including credit line settings and re-evaluation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as approval rates, delinquency rates, and charge-offs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Oversee credit approval processes and manage the credit scoring models.
  • Lead a lean team of credit card professionals
  • Conduct regular reporting and analysis of credit card portfolio performance.
  • Work with technology and operations teams to optimize credit systems and processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and competitive landscape.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including partnerships with issuers, merchants, and regulators.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Credit Cards should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in credit card management within the Financial Services industry (either from bank or other fintech)
  • Strong knowledge of mass market dynamics in the Philippines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive strategic decisions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management practices.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and drive innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders.
