Job Description

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Develop and oversee data governance frameworks ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Mentor and manage a team of data engineers to achieve high performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources for analytics purposes.
  • Drive innovation in data technologies and methodologies to stay ahead in the Technology & Telecoms space.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data workflows and systems.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables in alignment with organizational objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Data Engineering should have:

  • Strong expertise in data engineering, analytics, and architecture.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data tools.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and driving innovation.



Technology Stack:

  • Python & SQL
  • Data Transformation: dbt or a similar framework (e.g., SQLMesh).
  • Big Data Processing: Apache Spark, Kafka, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Orchestration: Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
  • Open Table Formats: Strong preference for Delta Lake; experience with Iceberg or Hudi is advantageous
  • Cloud Data Architecture: AWS, Azure, or GCP
