Over time, they have expanded into payments, short-term loans, utilities facilitation, and retail payment solutions. Today, they are building digital infrastructure for millions of merchants across Southeast Asia, with a strong presence in Indonesia and ambitious expansion plans into the Philippines.The company's revenue streams include transaction fees from payments, loan facilitation, and agent-based services such as mini ATMs. With partnerships across banks and infrastructure providers, they are poised to bring innovative financial solutions to underserved communities in the Philippines, particularly in areas like Laguna where cash resilience and accessibility remain critical.

Job Description

The Head of Sales (Philippines) will spearhead market expansion and sales operations in the country. Reporting directly to the regional leadership team, this role will be responsible for:

  • Leading field operations and door-to-door sales initiatives to onboard merchants and agents.
  • Building and scaling distribution networks across licensed businesses such as pawnshops, payment centers, and telco outlets.
  • Driving adoption of retail payment solutions (e.g., QRPH acceptance) and mini ATM services.
  • Navigating regulatory and licensing challenges in partnership with infrastructure providers and banks.
  • Developing and executing sales strategies tailored to the Philippine market, with a focus on resilience and accessibility in cash-heavy communities.
  • Managing a lean but high-performing team, ensuring strong execution in remote and underserved areas.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in field sales and operations, ideally with door-to-door or distribution-heavy models.
  • Background in telco, payments, or agent-based networks (FMCG experience alone will not be sufficient).
  • Strong ability to scale sales distribution teams and manage merchant acquisition in challenging markets.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the ground outside Metro Manila, particularly in regions like Laguna.
  • Managerial experience at the senior manager or regional head level, with ambition to step into a broader leadership role.
  • Character marked by resilience, adaptability, and a desire to leave a personal imprint on a growing business.
