Job Description

The Junior Assistant Vice President (AVP) Finance will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing controllership functions within the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring financial controls and compliance are maintained.
  • Leading financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
  • Participating in special projects and initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in controllership, financial planning and analysis, and corporate strategy, preferably in the energy sector or related industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a holdings company, energy sector, utilities, or audit firm is highly desirable.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes.
