Our client is a globally recognized financial services institution. With a growing Technology Center set up in the Philippines, they are looking to grow their software engineering team to help support global development and maintenance projects.

Job Description

The Lead Software Engineer will manage the Cloud Onboarding platforms and look to improve our automation services. You will perform the following key responsibilities:

  • Understand the bank's application platform strategy and implementing automation solutions
  • Broadly engage with application delivery teams across the bank, helping them adopt DevOps pipeline solutions to improve delivery efficiency and maturity
  • Understand the bank's software delivery processes and implement solutions in line with the bank's compliance and security requirement
  • Improve and scale current UI and front end interface of our systems
  • Ensure the creation of high-quality, reliable code that aligns with company standards and best practices
  • Drive the design and implementation of new features and enhancements
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle

The Successful Applicant

For this role, our successful Lead Software Engineer who predominantly be frontend dev focus, and must have worked in container environments.

  • Has at least 8 years of experience working as a Software Engineer/ Developer who has created, lead, and developed frontend systems and components in agile development teams
  • Has working knowledge with API development standards
  • Has experience in the following Tech Stack:
    • Programming languages and libraries (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Typescript, Web components, Lit, Jest, ES module)
    • Open-source frameworks such as Angular or React
    • Understanding of automation testing framework such as Cucumber, Selenium, Appium.
    • Understanding of DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible (preferred)
    • Experience with Unix and Windows host operating systems, scripting (Bash/Shell or PowerShell) & networking (preferred)
  • A strong technologist who keeps up to date with web technology and web standards
  • Motivated to do hands-on development and peer reviews
  • A self-starter and capable of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions on their own
  • A strong communicator with experience in agile working environments
