This role will lead, develop, and execute the national GT strategy for a growing bottled beverage brand. This role is responsible for driving volume, distribution, visibility, and profitable growth across all general trade channels. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the FMCG beverage industry, deep expertise in route-to-market design, and proven leadership in managing large sales teams and distributor networks.

Job Description

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the national general trade sales strategy to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution targets.
  • Build annual operating plans (AOP), sales forecasts, and commercial programs.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive insights, and growth levers for GT channels.



Sales Management

  • Lead and motivate regional sales managers, territory managers, and field sales teams.
  • Manage distributor operations, ensuring optimum inventory, coverage, and execution standards.
  • Drive numeric and weighted distribution targets across priority channels and outlets.



Route-to-Market (RTM) & Execution

  • Design efficient RTM models to improve coverage, productivity, and cost-to-serve.
  • Implement channel programs, pricing strategies, promotional plans, and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure strong trade execution at point-of-sale, including visibility, planogram compliance, and activation

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG, preferably beverages.
  • Strong understanding of general trade channels, distributor management, and RTM strategies.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing large, diverse sales teams.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and commercial planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
