Job Description

  • Oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with US wage and tax laws
  • Supervise and support a team of payroll processors
  • Review and resolve complex payroll issues and employee inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal departments for process improvements
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high employee satisfaction
  • Provide one-on-one guidance and facilitate training
  • Prepare reports and track department metrics
  • Ensure effective use of payroll systems and related technologies
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume, multi-state US environment
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience, ideally managing a team
  • Strong knowledge of US Federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including FLSA and taxable wages
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems such as Workday, UKG, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and confidential approach
  • Ability to work night shift hours and collaborate effectively with US-based teams
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
  • A proactive team player with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
