The Finance Manager will lead the local finance function, overseeing full accounting, costing, cashflow, and compliance while working closely with production and cross‑functional teams on the ground.

The company is part of a global group with operations across the chemical industry. It supports the group's growth by helping expand its downstream chemical and surfactants business.

Job Description

  • Lead the finance team across reporting, treasury, AP/AR, costing, and tax functions.
  • Manage the full set of accounts, ensuring timely group and statutory reporting.
  • Oversee cashflow planning, daily funding needs, and risk mitigation (FX, interest, credit).
  • Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
  • Collaborate with production on standard costing, cost tracking, and operational insights.
  • Coordinate with SG Finance and external partners (auditors, tax agents, banks) while mentoring the local finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting tools.
  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
