About Our Client

Our client is a multinational company and a global leader in the automotive industry offering quality products, trusted brands and creative solutions. They are stationed in 24 countries and manufacture precision components for cars, trucks and construction vehicles.

Job Description

  • Directs and manages plant operations, including but not limited to, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinates plant activities through departmental managers to ensure corporate, group, and plant objectives are met.
  • Develops and controls profits, plans, and budgets.
  • Deploys corporate Lean Processes and other productivity initiatives.
  • Ensures the plant processes orders to meet customer demands, to be delivered on time, and in a safe and cost efficient manner.
  • Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, staffing, wages, and salaries.
  • Oversees capital asset maintenance, including maintaining existing plant facilities and equipment, and replacing or making adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Oversees preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs.
  • Incorporates safety, shop floor organization, and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
  • Maintain a workplace safe from physical injury or harassment of any kind
  • Develop the plant's leadership team to have a workable suceession plan in place at all times.
  • Clearly communicate the company's goals and objectives to all of the plant's employees.
  • Provides leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with state, federal, and county regulations.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have a familiarity with SAP and experience with a Warehouse Management System.
  • Must have working knowledge of Lean process development techniques.
  • Must have ability to travel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Graduate of Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or any relevant Engineering degree
  • With at least eight (8) years experience in manufacturing operations field, minimum of five (5) years in a managerial position
  • With experience in the Automotive industry
  • Well-versed in business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Knowledge in root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational
  • With hands-on experience in IATF and ISO certifications, and in using SAP
