Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end product management of each collection, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop seasonal schedule, manage T&A and vendor on-time performance (this is about timeline monitoring)

This includes:

  1. Hand off final approval and information for production
  2. Liaise with other teams, such as, product, quality assurance, sales & marketing, and manage the production process with factories (factories may mean our current supplier base, and may include Indonesia as a sourcing channel)
  3. Constant communication with external and internal cross functional teams involved in the product creation, merchandising, and approval process, raising or calling out any potential delays that would require and action from any of the relevant teams
  4. To provide information and resolve problems that arise during and after the development of the collection, including ownership and accountability of the process
  5. Work closely with the creative director and the design and merchandising team to develop seasonal concept and material research

  • Transfer designs, concepts and required information to the suppliers and pattern-makers (this is about the sampling process.)
    1. Act as the key contact and problem solver of the design team and suppliers in supporting and following-up the development, sampling & fitting process (should regularly touch base with design to clarify any doubt), with the goal of having a maximum of 2 samples for approval, and an approval rate of 90%.

  • Profit control and cost negotiation, including responding to margin requirements - based on awareness of costs at wholesale and retail when developing. Work with all manufacturers to calculate costs for prototypes, samples and production prices for each piece of the collection.   • Manages a team
    1. Ensure the preparation of the relevant purchase orders and spec sheets in a timely manner
    2. Responsible for ordering raw materials directly from manufacturers for prototypes and samples

  • Set-up the necessary infrastructure and systems to be able to ensure clarity, efficiency, effectiveness, and continuity in processes

The Successful Applicant

- Ability to manage small to medium sized teams, or several supervisors

- Demonstrates critical thinking and has the ability to anticipate and solve challenging problems

- SME is highly developed, and reliable

- Able to identify top talent and culture carriers and leverage them accordingly

- Can be trusted to lead from the planning to the delivery and execution stages

- Able to draw from relevant and extensive experience in performing and suggesting improvements to tasks, P&Gs and processes

- Ability to breakdown and organize processes and draft the corresponding protocols, guidelines

- Ability to drive and lead conversations. Able to actively listen and quickly process and organize thoughts to be able to articulate the same in a structured and sensible manner, either verbally or in writing
