Job Description

Project Financing & Structuring:

  • Lead the development and execution of financing strategies for solar and wind projects from late-stage development to construction.
  • Oversee and manage the full financing process, including coordinating due diligence, managing advisors, and supporting documentation through financial close.



Offtake Agreement Support:

  • Support commercial negotiations and risk analysis related to power offtake agreements.
  • Provide financial input during offtake structuring and contracting phases.



Financial Modelling:

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects for lender submission and internal investment approval.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess project risk and returns.



Term Sheet Negotiation:

  • Lead or support negotiations of term sheets with lenders and investors.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations while optimizing financing terms and conditions.



Stakeholder Management:

  • Interface with legal, technical, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project finance matters.
  • Act as a key point of contact for lenders, equity partners, and advisors.



Strategic Analysis & Investment Support:

  • Contribute to broader commercial strategy from a project finance perspective, including sell-side strategy, investment packaging, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Provide insights on project bankability and investor requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Finance Professional should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, with a strong focus on energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of executing project finance transactions in the renewable energy sector, including solar and/or wind.
  • Strong experience in financial modelling, term sheet negotiation, and managing lender processes.
  • Deep understanding of sell-side transactions and capital raising in infrastructure or energy.
  • Familiarity with offtake agreements, EPC contracts, and permitting processes in energy projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach.
