Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role leads a team with expertise in multiple categories and functions - to deliver a sustainable competitive edge through a consumer-centric approach. Creates the intellectual property and tools for ingredients, process and packaging solutions. The role is also accountable for the development of R&D talent and guides the application of the technical depth in design for Snacks, Confectionery, Bakery, Powder Beverage, RTD Beverage, Wellness, New businesses, Consumer Technical Insights, and Packaging Design. -Drive standardization when that benefits equity, scale, cost or speed

-Run the Product, CTI and Packaging design programs for delivery of Platform projects
-Deliver the design/applications that are winning with consumers especially in adjacencies, category intersections, far-out spaces and new businesses.
-Creates new technologies, IP and tool boxes that can be readily deployed by Commercialization teams in service of the locally relevant consumer needs.
-Creates an internal and external ecosystem (Key Suppliers, academia, etc..) that allows for a wide range of ideas to be funneled and experimented with.
-Picks the relevant consumer trends and consumer needs - and finds ways to integrate technical solutions to meet them.
-Proactively develops wellness/sustainability solutions that can either create growth or derisk the portfolio (from a regulatory, product safety lens)
-Systematically develops technical capabilities

The Successful Applicant

KEY QUALIFICATION:

-Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in BS Food Technology, BS Chemical Engineering, other related courses such as BS Mechanical Engineering
-Candidate must possess a Master's Degree, preferably a PhD
-At least 20 years' experience in the field of Food and Research and Development, preferably with exposure to at least 2-3 categories that the company plays in (Bakery, Confectionery, Beverage and Snacks), and bring in other F&B category experience
-With prior exposure to other R&D sub-functions such as packaging, consumer insights, etc.
-Comfortable and has worked for international markets previously, while being able to manage stakeholders both locally and internationally
-Demonstrated functional depth, business acumen and people skills
