Sales Engineer (with Data Center Network)

The Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the development of customer-focused technical solutions and driving project-based sales, with strong exposure to data centers and other mission‑critical facilities. This role works closely with engineering team, as well as external partners and customers, to define project requirements, prepare competitive proposals, and support bid strategies from pre-sales through project handover.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage sales activities related to data centers, hyperscale facilities, colocation providers, and other critical infrastructure projects, as well as industrial applications.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to distributors, dealers, consultants, contractors, engineering firms, and end users involved in data center and mission‑critical projects.
  • Support pre-sales and tender activities including solution specification, equipment selection, pricing, and proposal preparation for data center power and infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, supply chain, project, and commercial teams to deliver complete and competitive project bids.
  • Translate customer requirements into appropriate technical solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with data center standards.
  • Manage the full pre-sales lifecycle, ensuring all technical, commercial, and project deliverables are accurately defined and delivered on time.
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout the sales and project development lifecycle.
  • Follow established sales and project workflows while contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety, and governance standards.
  • Manage multiple project opportunities concurrently while maintaining a strong customer focus and professional stakeholder management.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sales Engineer should have:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (or related discipline).
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience in data centers, power generation, critical facilities, energy systems, or engineered solutions.
  • Exposure to data center operators, consultants, EPCs, or mission‑critical infrastructure customers is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with commercial, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
