About Our Client

Our client is a market leader in the Logistics & Supply Chain ecosystem with one of the widest reaching networks across the country. Recognized among the most valuable brands in their domain of business, they have aggressive growth plans which will be driven by strong business development and key account management teams. They are looking for Sales Managers with competency in either Key Account Management or New Business Development.

Job Description

  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for existing and potential customers within an assigned portfolio, selling transport or warehousing services across business units (e.g. high-tech, automotive, consumer, retail, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with operations and liaise on pricing/RFQ preparation.
  • Develop spot and regular opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Ensure customer retention on your assigned account portfolio.
  • Prepare and conduct professional customer visits, presentations, and participate in bids.
  • Ensure proper on-boarding/handover of new and additional business to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong engagement with internal stakeholders in relation to your assigned portfolio.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential clients and the decision-makers within the client's organization.
  • Record and report the sales activities and business opportunities in the web-based CRM (ZOHO CRM).
  • Research and build long-lasting and profitable relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision-makers and the company's practice leaders or principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches and participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Tailor-fit proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids as well as negotiate terms and conditions with clients.
  • Handle objections by clarifying and emphasizing agreements as well as working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to appropriately persuade or negotiate with potential clients.
  • Communicate with existing clients about other business opportunities.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, seminars, and trainings.
  • Handle and attend customer complaints and resolve issues aiming for customer contentment.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and events.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or other related fields of study with 3+ years' of vertical sales experience. Strong hunting skills or Account Management skills along with leadership potential is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills besides proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications especially Excel is required.
