The Senior Fund Accountant is responsible for analyzing fund performance, maintaining accurate investor and portfolio records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements across assigned investment funds. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast‑paced environment.

Job Description

  • Understand client strategies, analyze assigned funds' monthly performance, and stay updated on market movements.
  • Develop knowledge of various securities, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing, and futures.
  • Build expertise in accounting standards relevant to Investment Management.
  • Review and process investor movements, ensuring compliance with procedures, controls, SLAs, and fund formation documents.
  • Accurately record investor activity into internal systems per formation documents.
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards and regulatory changes affecting investor reporting.
  • Review and price portfolios in accordance with firm and fund pricing policies.
  • Reconcile positions and securities with broker statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Establish and execute operational processes and procedures.
  • Set and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor process quality to ensure high‑standard service delivery to clients.
  • Perform daily and monthly audits of work processes.
  • Prepare and provide reports as required.
  • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements.
  • Calculate and review partner allocations, management fees, performance fees, and other related items.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Fund Accountant should have:

  • Holds a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting.
  • Has 3-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, ideally within a Fund Administration Firm.
  • Works effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Follows procedures and meets deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Has solid understanding of GAAP financial statement preparation and review.
  • Experienced with annual audit processes and testing.
  • Knowledgeable in partner allocations, management fee calculations, and performance fee calculations.
  • Excellent English communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
