The client is a joint venture company between a leading consumer goods supply chain group and a multinational sports equipment manufacturing company.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees across retail and distribution teams.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and existing staff, focusing on customer service, sales techniques, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage employee relations, address issues and grievances, and support management in disciplinary actions to maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and the implementation of performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Develop employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, team-building activities, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and ensure that HR strategies align with business objectives.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends.
  • Manage workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across retail locations.
  • Provide HR insights and support during business reviews and contribute to strategic planning efforts.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in a retail or sales-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative HR solutions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing training programs is preferred.
