Job Description

  • Design, code, test and manage various Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.

The Successful Applicant

This is a technical expert role and we are looking for engineers who are highly experienced in similar career paths. Our senior / principal Software Engineers should have:

  • Has at least 8 years of experience working as a Software Engineer for API development
  • Has experience in the design and development of cross functional API & multi-platform application systems
  • An experienced developer of REST API, serverless and event driven applications, FaaS
  • Must have experience in micro services architecture
  • Has experience in the following Tech Stack:
    • Languages such as Java, Quarkus, GraphQL, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin
    • Cloud services such as AWS EC2, Azure AKS as well as container platform such as Docker and Kubernetes
    • DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible
  • A strong technologist who keeps up to date with web technology and web standards
  • Motivated to do hands-on development and peer reviews
  • A self-starter and capable of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions on their own
  • A strong communicator with experience in agile working environments, and have prior experience working with global peers a plus
