About Our Client

Our client is a European-based company specializing in the production of automotive parts.

Job Description

  • Lead the production and cross functional team in high-volume, high-quality and efficient mass production to achieve the defined KPI targets.
  • Responsible for Safety, 6S, and compliance to all relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Responsible for Quality produced in Textile Department, in i.e. PPM, Internal/External QNs, and 8D.
  • Supervise and lead the production team members (Direct, Indirect, and Office).
  • Manage the production process to ensure all products are produced on time within defined specifications while assuring cost efficiency.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement within the area of responsibility.
  • In-charge of people development, including mentoring and development of staff.
  • Align business objectives to direct reports and Leads & motivates the the team to achieve company goals and targets.
  • Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices and safety for production team members.
  • Generally responsible that all activities within the Department are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • based on documented procedures, work instructions, and standard test methods.
  • Works together with support departments such as Quality, Engineering, Controlling, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain.
  • Responsible for budget creation and monitoring in the Department

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent (i.e. Mechanical Engineering),
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodology is a definite plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (Experience in handling soft goods and apparel is a definite plus)
  • 5-years of people-management experience in a department-level capacity
  • Experience in automotive parts supplier manufacturing is a definite advantage
  • Excellent Leadership and Organizational skills
  • Demonstrated a track record of improving production processes
  • Has the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams
  • Hands-on mentality, very visible on the shop floor, results-driven.
  • Must have knowledge and proven experience in production concepts such as 6S, Kaizen, Lean
  • Manufacturing, Production and Operations Management, OEE, TPM, SMED, Continuous Improvement
  • Experienced with shop floor material flow: KANBAN, One-piece flow, Replenishment cycles,
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills, decision making skills (based on data) as well as interpersonal skills, including people-development, coaching, and mentoring
  • Excellent Communication skills to all levels in the organization
  • Experience and/or knowledge in of Production Operation Management
  • Experience with Quality Standards (ISO 9001, 14001,18001 /45001), as well as APQP tools such as, PFMEA, control plans, 8D, PPAP, KT, PDCA
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Applications
