The VP for Procurement will spearhead strategies for procurement and supply chain management to optimize costs and ensure the continuous supply of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). This role requires keen strategic and analytical skills, deep understanding of the FMCG industry, and the ability to lead a team.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's business goals.
  • Ensure continuous supply of FMCG products, managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
  • Lead and manage the procurement and supply chain team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Implement risk management processes to minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate procurement and supply chain strategies across the organization.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VP for Procurement should have:

  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within procurement and supply chain management, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems.
