Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop business plans, growth strategies, and investment ideas for new ventures.
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate strategic business opportunities.
  • Build financial models and comprehensive business cases to support investment decisions.
  • Conduct commercial, financial, and strategic feasibility assessments.
  • Lead the incubation and launch of pilot programmes and new business entities.
  • Drive initiatives from concept, validation, launch, and early-stage growth.
  • Work closely with project management and operational teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Scale ventures into sustainable operations and transition mature businesses to operational leadership.
  • Support portfolio growth across multiple sectors.
  • Present recommendations and strategic insights to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

The Successful Applicant

What Makes a Successful Applicant?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong foundation in audit, accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
  • Experience in corporate development, strategy, venture building, business incubation, or investment evaluation.
  • Ability to assess financial viability, commercial attractiveness, and market opportunities.
  • Proven experience developing business cases, financial models, and growth strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presentation capabilities.
  • Experience within banking, fintech, digital platforms, marketplaces, private equity, venture capital, or high-growth businesses is highly advantageous.
