An established international credit insurance and risk management organisation is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to support its growing Philippines operations in Manila. Reporting directly to a regional Head of Risk based in Singapore, the Credit Risk Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating credit exposures, analysing financial performance, and supporting strategic business growth across the Philippine market.

Job Description

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will manage a portfolio of Philippine-based companies across multiple industries, providing independent credit assessments and financial analysis to support underwriting and credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and credit risk assessments
  • Review credit limit applications and provide recommendation decisions
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risk trends
  • Perform annual reviews of assigned company portfolios
  • Assess warning signals, financial ratios, and business performance indicators
  • Develop sector expertise across construction, chemicals, industrial, and commercial industries
  • Collaborate with local and regional stakeholders across the business

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Risk Analyst should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within:
    • Credit Analysis
    • Risk Analysis
    • Corporate Banking
    • Corporate Lending
    • Underwriting
  • Strong financial modelling and financial statement analysis capability
  • Ability to interpret financial ratios, identify negative trends, and assess business performance
  • Solid understanding of Philippine industries and market dynamics
  • Comfortable working independently within a regional reporting structure
