This position plays a critical role in month-end close leadership, audit readiness, stakeholder management, and continuous process improvement within a shared services environment.

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee month-end close activities for complex entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Manage complex general ledger transactions, accruals, payroll accounting, and sensitive journal entries.
  • Review and approve reconciliations of critical balance sheet accounts and resolve outstanding issues.
  • General Ledger Manager will serve as a key contact for internal and external audits, supporting audit requirements and compliance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS, GAAP, tax regulations, internal controls, and group accounting policies.
  • Drive automation, standardisation, ERP enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior accountants and maintain robust SOPs, training materials, and knowledge documentation.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA qualification and/or Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in General Ledger accounting operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience within a Shared Services Centre environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with automation tools such as VBA.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
