Job Description

The General Ledger Manager will

  • Lead and manage a team of 10 to 15 finance professionals, including Team Leads and General Ledger experts.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and translate expectations into actionable plans.
  • Manage escalations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
  • Lead performance management, succession planning, and career development programmes.
  • Support finance transformation projects, process transitions, and change management activities.
  • Monitor service delivery KPIs, turnaround times, accuracy, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Champion Lean methodologies, productivity improvements, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Professionally qualified finance graduate, ideally CPA certified.
  • At least 20 years of finance experience across General Ledger, Accounting, or FP&A functions.
  • Minimum 10 years of General Ledger experience in multinational organisations.
  • Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience managing large teams.
  • Strong ERP knowledge, preferably SAP FICO, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Hyperion.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Proven success driving transformation, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
