Job Description

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct material categories supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFQ processes, commercial negotiations, and contract management activities.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives through effective supplier management and sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) programs through supplier engagement and sourcing activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.
  • Analyze market conditions, pricing trends, and supply risks to support sourcing decisions.
  • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for critical materials and components.
  • Support capacity expansion, product transitions, and operational growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and governance standards.
  • Prepare procurement performance reports, supplier reviews, and cost-saving analysis for leadership teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain.
  • Strong experience managing direct materials within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience sourcing electronic components, engineered products, or technical manufacturing materials is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of supplier performance management and supply continuity planning.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and cross-functional engineering activities.
  • Ability to build relationships with both local and international suppliers.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
