An exciting opportunity is available for an AU Financial Accountant to join a growing global software business. Reporting to the Financial Controller in Australia, this role will be heavily involved in month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Our client is an Australian-based SaaS company in the IT industry that provides cloud-based solutions to the hospitality sector. Headquartered in Melbourne, the business serves customers globally through a suite of hospitality management, booking, guest engagement, and payment solutions. The company is expanding its finance team in the Philippines to support its international operations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

    • Manage month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
    • Prepare and post month-end journals.
    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
    • Prepare financial reports and analysis for stakeholders.
    • Manage deferred revenue and intercompany reconciliations.
    • Support audit and compliance requirements.
    • Assist with ad hoc finance activities, including payroll and tax-related support where required.
    • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the finance function.



The Successful Applicant

A successful AU Financial Accountant should have:

  • 5+ years' accounting experience.
  • Strong experience in month-end close and financial accounting.
  • Proven financial reporting and reconciliation experience.
  • Process improvement and automation mindset.
  • Experience in a SaaS, software, or technology environment preferred.
  • Exposure to Australian businesses or multinational organizations is advantageous.
  • CPA qualified is a plus
  • Strong Excel, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
