The AVP Business Development (Investment) drives investment evaluation and project development initiatives across the airport portfolio, including end-to-end M&A and strategic growth opportunities. The role oversees project evaluation, development, execution, and stakeholder management to deliver airport infrastructure investments from concept to completion.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute investment and business development strategies aligned with airport platform growth objectives.
  • Lead project development, evaluation, and management activities from origination through execution and operationalisation.
  • Oversee end-to-end M&A transactions, including opportunity assessment, due diligence, negotiation, and execution.
  • Conduct financial modelling, feasibility studies, business case development, and investment analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, advisors, and lenders.
  • Monitor project and investment performance, identifying risks and driving value creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial and organisational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and mentor team members to deliver departmental goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AVP - Business Development (Investments) should have:

  • Strong experience in project development.
  • Strong experience in project management.
  • Strong experience in project evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects from inception to completion (end-to-end lifecycle).
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience overseeing M&A processes from end to end.
