Job Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3 to 6 data analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive the design, development, and implementation of analytics solutions, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Oversee data quality, governance, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives.
  • Manage the development of automation and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Lead complex data analysis projects involving structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to establish secure and effective data management practices.
  • Champion the use of AWS services, open-source technologies, and innovative analytics tools.
  • Support risk management initiatives through advanced reporting and predictive analytics.
  • Promote best practices in data analytics, process improvement, and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, IT, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering.
  • At least 2 years of people leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing teams of 3 to 6 professionals.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to AWS services and cloud-based analytics environments.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, database structures, and large-scale data processing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience within banking, financial services, or insurance organisations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality management, and related frameworks is preferred.
