Job Description

  • Lead and contribute to the development of data analytics, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations and efficiency across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to transform complex or unclear business challenges into actionable, data-backed solutions.
  • Design and implement strategies for analytics, automation, and data initiatives that support organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain scalable data models, dashboards, workflows, applications, and analytical solutions using advanced data engineering and analytics techniques.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of solutions, including data acquisition, transformation, modeling, visualization, deployment, and user adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual workloads, and improve decision-making through automation and AI technologies.
  • Develop automation tools such as scripted workflows, desktop applications, Excel add-ins, and other user-facing productivity solutions.
  • Leverage machine learning, AI, and generative AI technologies to create measurable business impact.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and promoting high standards in analytics, engineering, and delivery practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong background in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Extensive experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, automation, or similar technical disciplines.
  • Advanced SQL expertise and a solid understanding of data modeling, transformation, and analytics architecture.
  • Strong Python development skills for analytics, automation, and production-ready solutions.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
  • Hands-on experience with C#/.NET development, including desktop applications and Excel-based tools.
  • Practical experience implementing AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions in business environments.
  • Preferred experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or other highly data-driven industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and build new capabilities from the ground up.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
