Job Description

The responsibilities of the Finance Data Lead are:

  • Assist in translating business requirements into clear and actionable Finance user requirements.
  • Support front-to-end initiatives by coordinating with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to backlog management by helping refine features and user stories.
  • Perform information and data analysis, including validation, quality checks, and identifying improvements.
  • Help implement and maintain controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Participate in testing activities such as functional, acceptance, and migration testing.
  • Work with IT teams to support the translation of solution designs into system implementations.
  • Provide functional support by helping monitor financial and product accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and ledger accuracy.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Data Lead should have:

  • Knowledge of banking processes, accounting concepts, and ideally hedge accounting.
  • Familiarity with Wholesale Banking product accounting and Financial Markets products.
  • Proficiency in SQL, impact analyses, functional design, and testing (functional, acceptance, and migration) is a plus.
  • Experience with FM/GT systems such as Murex, Summit, Sophis, or Calypso is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in IT, process improvement, and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, able to work effectively with international stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable team player, comfortable working in Agile environments.
