Job Description

  • Develop new product capabilities and integrate third-party systems across backend and frontend platforms.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance applications using PHP/Laravel and React.
  • Design, implement, and support RESTful APIs and external system integrations.
  • Manage relational databases, including schema improvements and performance tuning.
  • Create automated tests to improve software stability and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and reduce technical debt.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements into clear development tasks.
  • Work within event-driven architectures using command and event bus patterns.
  • Contribute to systems operating in AWS and Kubernetes environments across both monolithic and microservice architectures.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design principles to create scalable and loosely coupled solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote high-quality development standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven professional experience developing applications with PHP and Laravel.
  • Strong backend development expertise with working knowledge of React and frontend technologies.
  • Experience building and supporting REST APIs in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design, optimisation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of secure web application development practices.
  • Experience writing automated tests and ensuring software quality.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions and contributions made to previous projects.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills when engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of delivering results within complex, fast-paced environments.
