Job Description

  • Lead the end‑to‑end strategy for acquiring and managing high‑value data partnerships (e.g., telcos, fintech platforms, alternative data providers).
  • Drive integration initiatives for new datasets, ensuring compliance with strict privacy and no‑PII data sharing frameworks applied in telco partnerships.
  • Work closely with data science and product teams to evaluate dataset quality, predictive value, and alignment with credit scoring model requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance scoring capabilities using variables such as usage patterns, top‑up frequency, and device behavior.
  • Oversee commercial negotiations, partner onboarding, and long‑term partnership success plans.
  • Strengthen ecosystem partnerships that enable more inclusive lending by expanding market coverage and eliminating "no‑score" scenarios.
  • Collaborate with product, compliance, tech, and commercial teams to co-develop data-driven products and enhancements.
  • Represent the organisation in high-level business reviews, roadmap discussions, and partnership governance forums.
  • Monitor competitor landscape, alternative data trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8-12+ years of experience in data partnerships, commercial partnerships, fintech, telco, risk technology, or data strategy roles.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and growing strategic partnerships with enterprise-level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data ecosystems, data governance, privacy, and API‑driven integrations.
  • Experience working with analytics, machine learning, or risk/credit data products (advantage).
  • Able to balance commercial strategy with technical depth when working with data teams and external partners.
  • Excellent relationship-building and executive communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive cross-functional outcomes.
