Job Description

  • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management to support business goals and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the organization remains compliant with evolving standards.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the internal audit of compliance processes and recommend improvements.
  • Train and educate staff on legal and compliance-related matters.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings and negotiations, as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal and Compliance should have:

  • A degree in Law and a valid license to practice law.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal risks.
