Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Analyse market trends to identify procurement opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and manage procurement contracts and documentation.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Specialist should have:

  • Proficient in Japanese communication, with JLPT N2 certification or above preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement operations
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and vendor evaluation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and software.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
