A global professional services organisation specialising in risk, reinsurance, capital, and advisory solutions. The role is based in Manila, Philippines and operates under a hybrid working model with at least three office days per week.

Job Description

The Reinsurance Actuary will

  • Partner with brokers and clients to solve complex reinsurance and risk management challenges.
  • Develop analytics-driven reinsurance strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Build and apply actuarial models for pricing, risk assessment, and portfolio analysis.
  • Assess and design optimised reinsurance structures to support financial and capital objectives.
  • Translate complex technical findings into practical recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Utilise AI, Python, Databricks, and other analytics tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through data-driven insights.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior actuarial professionals.



The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 7 years of experience within non-life insurance or reinsurance.
  • Strong background in property & casualty insurance, pricing, capital modelling, or catastrophe modelling.
  • Qualified or near-qualified actuary (FCAS, FIA, or FIAA).
  • Advanced analytical and modelling capabilities.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, VBA, Alteryx, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics platforms such as Databricks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
