The role requires a strong technical planning background, leadership capability, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, project teams, and senior management.

About Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised transportation and infrastructure organisation delivering large-scale railway and mobility projects across multiple international markets. Due to an internal transition, they are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to support ongoing project delivery in the Philippines.

Job Description

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and control of integrated project schedules for railway construction projects.
  • Establish and implement planning and scheduling best practices across project teams.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Produce regular planning reports, project dashboards, and schedule analyses for senior management and clients.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls functions to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Conduct site visits to validate progress, assess risks, and develop realistic project forecasts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key project stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor planning team members to ensure high performance and consistent delivery standards.
  • Support project leadership in strategic planning, resource forecasting, and decision-making activities.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, project, and organisational planning requirements.
  • Utilise Primavera P6 and TILOS to develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Planning Manager should have:

  • Minimum 15 years of total professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of dedicated planning and scheduling experience.
  • Mandatory experience within railway projects.
  • Strong construction project experience, ideally within rail infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing planning teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Working knowledge of TILOS.
  • Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
  • Ability to conduct site-based planning reviews and engage with project delivery teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working within large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects is highly advantageous.
